In the world of fashion, there have been many men and women who have made their mark as professionals and served as inspirations to future prospects.
In particular, black women have made headway in fashion and modeling that would not have been thought as achievable or possible due to past (and sometimes present) beliefs on beauty, race or background.
From the prestigious to the somewhat obscure, black female models have had an impact on media and culture that continues to evolve to this day.
